Gone...
Everyone they've ever cared about died. They were the only ones left, but now they were trapped. No other place else to go. A glass wall seperated them, one trying desperately to reach for the other, who was praying silently.
A punishment on the world was taking place. The prison shook, rocks fell, but there was nothing they could do about it.
"Lucky!" came the cry of the older prisoner, trying to break the glass. His spiked hair was covered in dust, and his eyes were a piercing abyss now shrunken on one little boy on the other side.
A quiet child not even in his teens was praying, tears running down his face. He didn't move, no matter how many rocks struck him. He bled freely, not making a single move. He didn't panic, even though the world was now ending.
Their parents... Their sister... Their grandfather... Their friends...
All were dead.
Now, in this prison. Only one of them could live, and the other would die. But only the child knew that. He just couldn't tell his brother...
Crack! The older teen jumped. The glass! It's being crushed! In panic, he beat harder. There was just a crack when hands of light grabbed him. Struggling, calling to his brother, he tried to get back to the glass. "Lucky!" he cried over and over again. He freed himself from the hands and ran back to the wall, beating it again and again.
Pure red...
Blood trickled freely on the now tainted surface. The more he punched the glass, the more the fresh substance ran down the once pure surface. The hands grabbed him again, coating themselves in blood, dragging him away.
Soft, black eyes looked up from the now ended prayer. A sad smile crossed Lucky's face as his brother was taken to a portal of light... his only escape.
Nails dug at the rocky surface, every one of them breaking at the contact, but only digging deeper as the desperate teen tried to anchor himself to the ground. He couldn't let his only reason to live die here, alone. Looking up at the boy on the other side, he could only see relief in those soft eyes.
"I'll say 'hi' to everyone for you," Lucky said. Though only a whisper, his voice was strangely heard over all the racket. He mentally cried at the shocked eyes of his older brother.
The shining portal opened to receive the teen. The feet disappeared in its throat... then the legs... then the torso... then the neck...
The glass broke.
"NO!!!!! LUCKY!!!!"
A voice died, an echo in its wake.
"Goodbye..."
A throat was shattered by the broken glass.
